North Shore Day Trip Guide
A full day on the North Shore — Pipeline, garlic shrimp, Shark's Cove and sunset at Sunset Beach.
The North Shore is a different Oahu — slower, more agricultural, more local. A day trip from Waikiki takes about 50 minutes each way and is worth every kilometre.
Suggested loop
- 9am — Garlic shrimp truck for an early lunch
- 10:30am — Waimea Bay or Shark’s Cove (snorkeling in summer, watching in winter)
- 1pm — Pipeline beach walk + photo stop
- 3pm — Sunset Beach swim or watch
- 6:30pm — Sunset on the beach itself
